Chris Feudtner, MD, PhD, MPH

Chris Feudtner is the Research Director of the Pediatric Advanced Care Team and Director of the Department of Medical Ethics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Over the course of his clinical and research career, Chris has both cared for children with serious illness and conducted studies to improve the care provided to them and their parents. His research focuses on several aspects of care for these children, and includes large scale epidemiologic and health services research studies in the arenas of pediatric palliative care and medication exposure, as well as intimate interview studies of parental stress and parental decision-making of parents of children with serious illness.
